Oli Royce:podcast

In this lecture, Oli Royce shows us his predictions for the future of the fashion industry, including the apparel industry, textiles, materials. He presents his views on professional networking, including how we should get the jobs we want, our approach to design, and how we should bring our own design perspectives into our careers. He also mentioned the impact of the textile and apparel industries and society on brands and products, as well as physical and digital fashion and how they should be combined in the virtual world.

He mentioned that the more people you know, the more opportunities you'll have. Building relationships is something that people find difficult, such as when we force ourselves to do things, we feel uncomfortable. But it's also important to communicate with people and talk to people, for example, in our work, we need to drink handover and cooperation, including when we want to get a certain job, we need to convey to the other person, I'm interested in this, this is my profession my job, can we work together. It is a process of communicating and understanding with others. Sometimes we need to take that step, sometimes we need to stay connected to others, so networking is very important.

At the same time, he said that we sometimes need to look critically at our work and think about whether I've told the story of how I got to this point, how I told our story in a compelling way, while providing all the context and insight, and how my decision shifted from A to B. It's very important that people are really engaged and really care about your work, your story. When we are clear about our work, our projects, and the connections between these things, our designs begin to have a background and a story.

He concluded by saying that we should be open to the opportunities and prospects that come our way, that we should seize every opportunity, that we should be prepared to get into trouble without overthinking, and that action should be put before deliberation. I think this advice is very useful for me, because I am the kind of person who thinks a lot and is very anxious, when I encounter a problem, I often fall into a dilemma of thinking, and I have been thinking about how to do it, how to change, but I lack the ability to act, and indeed when we encounter an opportunity, sometimes excessive thinking will really make the opportunity miss us, but we have to take action decisively, maybe it is more useful.

He made 5 predictions.

Democratize branding.

Society's influence on brands, product ideas is on the rise.

1.              Highly influential people on social media create a lot of demand.

2. The rise of social media has lowered the barrier to entry.

He mentioned that we can find influencers, work with them, and then create our own influence, which reminds me that many of our brands currently work with social media influencers, including some online anchors, to promote and bring goods, to increase product sales and product influence and awareness.

Connect with people who have become famous, so that others start to notice your influence.

Digital If it comes in a digital way, or a digital experience, you can continue to stay in touch with potential customers without being constrained by any of the world's volatile events.
